Dr. Ken Hounsel grew up in Rising Star, TX, and got an Agriculture/Animal Science degree from Abilene Christian University. Later, he graduated Vet School at Texas A&M in 1986, and started his career in Tyler. He met and married his wife, Julie, in 1988 and they have lived and practiced in Eastland and Gilmer. He is very proud of his four grown boys and one teenage girl. He has lived in Diana for close to 20 years.
At the moment there are three dogs (Sally the Golden Retriever being his favorite) and three cats on his farm. Other pets he enjoys caring for are a potbellied pig (Wilbur), cows, donkeys, ducks and other assorted feathered and fur babies.
You’ll find him mowing or driving a tractor when he is home (among other things) and also takes pleasure in allowing kids over to fish, and to feed and pet the farm animals. He attends Pine Tree Church of Christ on any given Sunday and invites you to come visit 🙂
Thank you for your trust and confidence in allowing Dr. Ken to give prudent, compassionate help to you and your pet. Let him know how he and his caring staff, can assist you!
